Perfect example of what we want on site
It was on the 4th August and the operators name was Chris Hearing. I think he was driving the 62 / 63M pump.
From start to finish he was a perfect example of what we want on site. He set up well, signed off pump with all checks, explained what he was doing and why. He discussed the pouring plan with concrete gang and Traffic marshals to make sure everything went well and was a very good, diligent operator.
He also discussed his experience of the company and what a good company it was and how everyone from the operators to the yard manager to the “two brothers” were great people to work with and for and he felt a valued member of the team.
I do not know Chris and don’t recall working with him before, the only reason I send this email is because I think that valued members of our team are sometimes overlooked, and we focus more on the negatives and complaining when things go wrong rather than recognising and thanking people when they do a good job.

We are very grateful for the office support and the on-site team for this weekend’s delivery… the pump worked a treat and the guys placed the concrete safely and perfectly over / between various structures, wires etc.

I would like to take a minute to give my appreciation for your pump operator that we had on site. Steve was excellent – had great appreciation for the H&S culture on site with it being in nuclear, worked straight through to allow the concrete gang to progress, was knowledgeable and early on site.
