CONSTRUCT, the membership organisation that represents the interests of the concrete structures industry, has recently released six health and safety-related training videos. One of the videos highlighted safety issues around concrete pumping and CONSTRUCT’s training officer asked Camfaud to help with the technical, concrete pumping aspects of the video. The theme of the video is a television news report following an incident involving pumping concrete on a RC Frame Site.
A news reporter is outside the site and the news anchor is joined in the studio by two industry representatives – a concrete pump operator and a H&S officer – to discuss the most likely reasons for the incident and issues surrounding concrete pumping operations. The video can be viewed on Vimeo. This series of training videos has been part funded by CITB – the Construction Industry Training Board.
