Camfaud Concrete Pumps’ work on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park has been officially recognised. The Chairman of the Olympic Delivery Authority, John Armitt, announced yesterday that: “The Olympic Park project is on schedule and budget, and we have successfully hit all of our milestones over the last five years. This is thanks to the skill and professionalism of thousands of British businesses who have won contracts and shown the rest of the world what UK plc can achieve. The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is a great showcase for UK industry and many companies have used it to go on and win work on other projects across the world”.
Camfaud was among the companies from the East of England highlighted for their work in the construction of the Olympic Park. The concrete pumping we carried out for the wetlands project was mentioned directly but we were also involved in many other Olympic contracts and, at the height of the construction phase, were supplying several mobile concrete pumps a day into the Olympic Park.
John Armitt added that “When we welcome the world to London next summer, tens of thousands of people from right across the UK will know that they played a part in building the stage for the greatest show on earth.” Among those tens of thousands of people will be many skilled and dedicated Camfaud concrete pump operators and support staff from sales, service, logistics and accounts.
